Welcome to

Catholic Social Services

long considered to be one of the region's premier nonprofit organizations.

Catholic Social Services is a member agency of The United Way of Greater Hazleton, Pennsylvania and Catholic Charities USA

From humble beginnings in 1939 on Broad Street above the Guild Studio up to today, thousands of individuals and families have been affected by service through this agency.

We are determined to stay focused on our mission, a mission of hope based on love of God through service to our neighbor, as the organization that has been responding to the needs of the Greater Hazleton community faithfully for over 60 years.

2009 Century Club Campaign has ended!

Thanks to all who contributed!

The Century Club campaign is the unique annual membership campaign soliciting support for the programs of Catholic Social Services. This is the 27th Century Club campaign since its inception in 1982.  CSS also receives support from the Greater Hazleton United Way.

Neil Oberto, Executive Director of Catholic Social Services, noted  that in a sense, CSS is a living, vital entity which cannot remain  static in its programs and services, but must remain sensitive to and responsive to emerging needs as times change and so also the   stresses on families and individuals change as well.

For this reason, the Century Club is an essential part of providing   the means to serve, Oberto stated, adding that all funds derived from   membership in the Century Club remain in the community.

Membership in the Century Club may be at any level or one may choose among the following designations: Platinum - $1,000; Diamond - $750; Angel - $500; Gold - $300; Silver - $250;       Century - $100.  All contributions are tax deductible and may be designated as a memorial or in honor of a friend and loved one.

For more information or for a pledge sheet, please call the office    (570 455-1521) and speak to one of our wonderful front desk staff.

Thank you to all who have supported

us!
